WITH HIS FIRST CAMERA, A KODAK INSTAMATIC X-15F, ONE COULD SEE A NATURAL SENSE FOR COMPOSITION AND STORY TELLING. HAVING WORKED WITH MANY MEDIUMS THROUGH HIS LIFE, PHOTOGRAPHY HAS ALWAYS BEEN HIS MAIN PASSION. PHOTOGRAPHY IS SO MUCH MORE THAN TAKING A PICTURE, IT’S INSPIRATION, SPONTANEITY, EMOTION, IT’S ART.. IT’S LIFE.
Michael David Adams is a photographer with the soul of a painter and his work is sought by collectors the world over..
In his early life as an artist he explored many mediums, starting with Oils at age 12 and working his way to Acrylics and multi-media pieces, all the while, nurturing a love and 2nd nature for photography, which eventually took center stage as the medium that would persevere both creatively and professionally.
Michael has always had a great love and deep respect for water in all of it’s forms and it is a recurring theme throughout much of his work.
Water has many dimensions to behold, from the calming and time-stretching affects of a seaside visit, to the allure of the vast and awe inspiring world underneath the surface where humans are not naturally suited to survive. Water demands respect for many things. It can assume the shape of its surroundings while always know which direction to travel. Water possesses the gift of creating speechless beauty and at the same time, the awesome power of giving and supporting life, as well as the power to destroy it.. We are in a constant quest to live in balance with this force of nature.
Michael’s art achieves a natural state of timelessness. Whether using photography as a documentary art form when dealing with his architecture work or the world-scape around us, or physically creating a scene with the human form in front of the camera in which to tell a story visually, Michael strives to create photographs that elicit lasting emotions which capture the soul of his audience as strongly as the experience of making them has captured his.
Michael’s Photography has taken him around the globe.
From Mexicos beautiful coast and the Caribbean Islands, to breath-taking locations across Europe, Michael has photographed his Fine Art Collections, Underwater, Fashion series, Architecture and Travel work from Paris, to London, Venice, Positano, Portugal, Croatia and more..
Traveling the world is so important to Michael, as it is a constant reminder of what a beautiful planet and world we live in.. Even when our daily lives and the politics of living seem to overshadow this, it’s always a great reminder of beauty that is forever.
Michael is proud to have participated in the 2017 Silent Auction to benefit the NYC Autism School, but donating 2 Limited Edition Prints from his “Forever Young” Series..
